Job Summary

We are searching for  ideal candidates who can join our team as Upholstery Trimmer Assistants. You will be working in the automotive, marine, and commercial upholstery services sector, bringing customers’ ideas and visions to fruition, from the smallest repair to the largest project. Job Responsibilities

• Complete projects and jobs in a timely manner and within established deadlines.
• Provide Exemplary Customer Service while picking-up and delivering customer projects.

• Assist customers who need work done on their automobile, boat, or commercial furniture by offering our professional services, solving customer problems, offering design and material suggestions for projects/jobs, and bringing their ideas to fruition.
• Communicate with the supervisor on a regular basis about work performed, necessary changes, new items/materials needed or any other concerns related to the work/job being completed.
• Keep up with required knowledge and skills in automotive, marine, and commercial upholstery by attending workshops, seminars or other classes to help ensure the work completed is of the highest quality.
• Maintain a clean working environment on the shop service floor by putting materials and tools away as work is completed and ensuring the customers’ car/boat/furniture/project is kept neat and orderly throughout the scope of work.
• Follow all safety requirements and local and federal standards when it comes to disposing of hazardous or toxic materials.
• Adhere to best practices when working in the automotive, marine, and commercial service environment by reporting any accidents or incidents to management as soon as possible.
• Other tasks as needed

Job Skills & Qualifications

Required:

• Must be 18 years of age or older

• Able to work all hours needed.

• Able to lift 50 lbs

• Interest in Skilled Trades
• Valid driver’s license

Preferred:

• Sewing/patterning experience
• Experience delivering outstanding customer service
• Innovation, ingenuity, design and/or artistic ability
• Eye-Hand coordination

Salary: $12.00 to $18.00 /hour
